Solar PV installations rocket.
As predicted the number of recorded PV installations in the last month before the cuts to the Feed-in-Tariff rocketed. According to DECC’s latest numbers 71,000 solar PV installations have been added to the MCS database in the last five weeks, peaking at 9,000 a day. Most recent estimates conclude that 35,000 installations were registered in one week.
This does mean that due to the vast amounts of ordering from manufacturers, prices of mounting equipment and the solar PV modules themselves are expected to fall in the coming months making the new adjusted Feed-in-Tariff still very lucrative.
